Q. What lease terms do you offer?

A.  At The Langston in Cleveland, Ohio, residents' leases run concurrent with the academic calendar.  Therefore, based on availability, most leases begin mid-August before school starts.  Regardless of the date that the lease begins, all leases expire on July 31.  The typical lease term is approximately 11.5 months of occupancy, and the lease agreement reflects a total rent amount that's divided into 12 equal installments that are due at the beginning of each month, including August. These installments don't represent a monthly rent amount and are not prorated. 

Q. Why are prices displayed per bedroom?

A.  When considering a 2, 3, or 4 bedroom apartment at The Langston, apartment home rates and square footages are quoted for individual leases per bedroom. When an individual signs the lease, that person is only responsible for their own payment. There is no joint liability for a roommate.

Q.  Do I have to be a student to live at The Langston in Downtown Cleveland?

A.  No.  The Langston is a perfect location for anyone who wants to enjoy all that Downtown Cleveland has to offer.  With close proximity to Cleveland State Univerisity and a location right along the RTA Healthline, living at The Langston is convenient for all.

Q.  How do I pay my rent payment?

A.  To pay your monthly rent, head to our website and click on RESIDENT LOGIN to access your RentCafe account. You can also download the RentCafe app for free from the Apple or Google Play store. Once you're in your account, click on the icon to make a one-time payment or a reoccurring payment. 

Q.  Do all the apartment homes come furnished?

A.  The Langston provides furnished and unfurnished options based on apartment request. Furnished apartments come with a bed, dresser, desk, couch, TV, chairs, and more. We recommend you bring personal items such as towels, toiletries, sheets, blankets, photos, and decorating accents to make the space your own.

Q.  How do I submit a service request?

A.  The same way you pay rent! You can download the RentCafe app for free or login online to your resident home page and submit a service request that way. If it's an emergency, please call 216-694-8932 and dial 3 for the on-call team member.

Q.  What's Parcel Pending? How do I receive my packages from the mail?

A.  Receive your packages 24/7 with Parcel Pending, our new package acceptance and delivery option! Please register for this service prior to your arrival through the information provided. Once you are registered, you will receive and email and/or text message when your package has arrived and a specific code you use to open the locker where your package is located. The lockers are located in the resident lobby.

Q.  Where do I park my car? Where can my guest park?

A.  Parking in downtown Cleveland is extremely rare. We have garage parking available as well as a surface lot that can be rented for a monthly fee. Of course, open street parking is on a first come, first serve basis throughout the surrounding areas.
